Sometimes when you can't find what you want, you have to take matters in to your own hands. This is often the case for me when it comes to finding the perfect hardware for a kitchen or bath project.
Case in point: In the below picture is a bathroom renovation from two years ago that was in desperate need of sleek glass doors, but the hardware available didn't come in the brushed gold finish that matched our plumbing fixtures. So you know what we did? I'm not kidding here. We had them plated. We took the shower door hardware to a local plating shop and voila. Matching hardware.
Once I had a taste of that idea, I was hooked. So when it was time to select my kitchen hardware, and I couldn't find the style I wanted in brushed brass, I knew just what to do!
I selected Liberty Artesia pull and knobs and ordered them in one of the available finishes and had all of them plated to the perfect brushed brass.
The cost varies depending on the finish you choose and the number of pieces to be plated. For a large kitchen with knobs and pulls, our local plating cost is about $600.
